Spiced Eggnog Scones

Eggnog Scones

  • 2 1/4 Cup Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Stick Cold Salter Butter cut into cubes
  • 1/3 Cup Pumpkin Eggnog
  • 1 egg, Lightly beaten
  • 1/4 Cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract

Eggnog Glaze

  • 1 Cup Powder Sugar
  • 2-3 Tbsp Pumpkin Eggnog
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • Cinnamon for Dusting


  1. Pre Heat over to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. In a large Bowl combine flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder and sugar.
  3. Add cubes of butter and use hands to mix in until pea size chunks of butter remain.
  4. In a separate bowl combine eggnog, egg, Greek yogurt and vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk wet ingredients with a fork then pour over dry ingredients.
  6. Mix with a spoon until mostly combined, then using your hands knead the dough a few times to form a smooth ball.
  7. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Shape into a circle approximately 1 inch thick.
  9. Cut dough into 6-8 triangles and place them on the baking sheet ensuring there is room for them to rise.
  10. Bake for 20-25 min or until golden brown.
  11. Remove and allow to cool before glazing.
  12. To make flax combine powder sugar, pumpkin eggnog and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  13. Drizzle glaze over cooled scones and dust with cinnamon.
